NOTE: For the next three Sundays; July 19, July 26 and August 2, I’m going to tell you a story through video. No really…you’ll have to come back each week to see where we left off. WATCH PART 2 HERE!
It’s been said that those who embark on mission trips do so to meet the spiritual and physical needs of others.
Yet upon return, it’s the missionary that comes back with a heart filled with overflowing love…given to them by those they intended to help.
In fact, it’s a two-way street. It ends up being a partnership for the kingdom.
Beginning in 2018, I headed on my first mission trip with World Gospel Outreach to Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I had been to Mexico once as a child, but had yet to go on a mission trip as an adult.
Well of course, I fell in love with Honduras and its people, so I made it a point to return every year with World Gospel Outreach. I’ve also been to Belize with the organization, in order to film content for them. In 2019, I returned to Honduras, and this time, to do work like I had did in Belize.
I was overjoyed to return to the country that stole my heart, as I would be reuniting with friends I had made last year. Thanks to social media and cell phones, of course, I had kept in touch with many of them throughout the whole year. Not only was I reuniting with my Honduran friends, I was reuniting with my friends from the States.

You see, in 2018, I went as a solo missionary to Honduras, and ended up joining teams as they came through each week. Well, three of the four teams I met back then we’re back at the same time I had planned to go! And no, I didn’t plan it like that. It just happened…and it was SUCH a blessing. Now, I intentionally plan on going at the same time to meet with them. I also plan on returning more often, because I just love working for Jesus, and doing it with the Hondurans that I love!
Each person has a story to tell, and best believe between the Hondurans and the North Americans, there’s so many! From miracles they’ve witnessed and experienced, to stories of finding love on the mission field…you’d want to sit and listen all day!
Well, each year I experience adventure, and 2019 wasn’t any different. When COVID hit in 2020, mission trips were put on a halt, and it’s no telling when we can go back to either Honduras or Belize.
But, I wanted to allow my team members and Hondurans to look back on our adventures from 2019, and introduce you to both my favorite people, and convince you to join us on a trip in the future!

So for the next three Sundays; July 19, July 26 and August 2, I’m going to tell you a story through video. No really…you’ll want to come back each week to see where we left off.
I promise…you’ll get to see what real life is like for us, see our playful teasing with one another, and most importantly, see our work for the Kingdom. Oh ya, I mentioned a story of finding love on the mission field. Well, as the Youtube thumbnail in the video at the beginning of the article shows, you’ll hear about that too! (You can click here to watch it.)
By the way, if you find it in your heart to donate to World Gospel Outreach. please do so by clicking here.
Hondurans have been hit hard by Covid, and are only allowed to visit the bank/doctor/grocery store etc…once every two weeks. We are truly blessed in the states, so I would love it if you can help out! God bless you, friends!
