In what shouldn’t even be a debate, it’s a shame that we as a nation are still fighting for the right of unborn children to live.
But alas, in a sinful, fallen world, should we really expect anything else?
Nope.
Thankfully, we still have the ability to choose to do right, due to free will. And on January 21, there are those who exercising their free will, by standing for what’s right.
Thousands of pro-life supporters took the streets of Washington D.C. to march in support of the lives of the unborn. This march comes on the heels of the 50th anniversary of Roe V. Wade, which essentially says that a women is protected under the Constitution to kill her unborn child.
This year could prove a change in that law, though to what is extent is yet to be known. Will it be terminated for good, or will the abortion decision be left to the states?
We can pray for the former, that the cruel act will be abolished. Friends, I would encourage you to fast and pray for our nation. The Bible calls us to fast, and great breakthrough comes through fasts.
Think of all the people who fasted in the Bible, and God responded with change. Ahab (yes, even this evil king was shown grace by God and received an answer for his fast), the wicked people of Nineveh (see a pattern here?), and the greatest of anyone, Jesus, fasted.
And when we fast, we need to humble ourselves so that the Lord will hear our prayers.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
So can we please make it a habit of praying for our nation? Maybe one day a week for a period of time, you skip a meal or two, and devout that time to prayer, Bible reading, sermon watching etc…
I’ll do it. Let’s do it together.
If you want to support the March For Life foundation, you can do so here.
