A new heir to the throne has been born!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, also known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have welcomed a 7lb, 3 oz baby boy.
The couple have not chosen a name for their child, who arrived a week late. But the trio will make their official debut in two days, according to Fox News.
Los Angeles native Meghan delivered her little one at 5:26 am, UK time. Her husband was present during the birth, and mom Doria “who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild” is currently by her side, according to a statement released by the palace.
The couple’s official Instagram account also shared the news.
We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.
The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives.

The new dad is ‘incredibly proud’ of his special lady, whom he married in a lavish ceremony at Windsor Castle last spring.
At a press conference with reporters, the new dad couldn’t help but gush over his little one.
“I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning, a very healthy boy. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well, he began, according to the AP.
It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension but we’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the lovely support.”
“I haven’t been to many births. This is definitely my first birth,’ Harry said with a laugh.
“But it was amazing. Absolutely incredible. As I said, I’m so incredibly proud of my wife and, as every father and parent would ever say, you know, your baby is absolutely amazing. But this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon. “
