Raised Catholic, Nicole Kidman is not afraid to say that she believes in God, despite pushback from pals.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, the Australian-born actress, 51, admitted that her belief in the Creator of the Universe has caused her friends to poke fun at her.
“A lot of my friends tease me,” she began.
Despite the opposition she receives, the Big Little Liars star and husband, Keith Urban, 51, take their children to church.
“That’s how we are raising our children. Keith has his own beliefs but he comes, too. I had a very Catholic grandmother, and I was raised praying, so that had massive impact.”
Nicole shares daughters Sunday, 10, and Faith, eight, with her country crooner hubby. She also has daughter Isabella, 26, and Connor Cruise, 24, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Still, the actress admits that she still has doubts, and is constantly questioning.
“I wouldn’t say it’s absolutism, there’s constant questioning. I’m a willful, feisty girl. For me it’s very important that I don’t have judgment. My dad would always say, ‘Tolerance is the most important thing.’”
Well friends, like Nicole, we’ve all had or have doubts. But, that’s when the study of Christian Apologetics comes in handy.
