This is basically the moment that K-LOVE and Air1 meet.
Natalie Grant and Steven Malcom are bridging the gap between hip-hop and worship with their unified song, Even Louder.
When we think of worship music, we often think of a particular style sung by artists such as Hillsong, Bethel or Chris Tomlin.
But Steven, who co-wrote the song with Christian rock band Leeland, wanted to change that.
“I really want to bridge the gap between worship and hip-hop. And show the world that worship isn’t just one style, one genre, but a lifestyle that glorifies Jesus,” he began, in a press release.
“And working with Natalie was amazing. From touring with her on the Bible Tour to being able to have her be a part of this record is just humbling.”
Natalie made a good point about the track, which includes the relatable lyrics; “the bigger depression hits, the louder my praise gets.”
…Praising God doesn’t make your problems disappear, if shifts your perspective from your problems to the solution of Christ.”
And when you listen to the song, (which you can purchase here) you can’t stop from singing…even louder.
