And two became one.
Joe Jonas married fiance Sophie Turner, with Elvis as officiant. The couple wed in Vegas, following Joe’s Billboard Music Awards performance.
The couple received their marriage license earlier that day, according to E!.
The Jonas Brothers member looked sharp in a gray suit, while his Game of Thrones bride chose a satin, spaghetti strap vest and veil.
Dan + Shay were at the end of the isle, performing their song, Speechless. Diplo filmed the ceremony via Instagram Live.
Joe is the the last of the brothers to tie the knot. Kevin is wed to wife Danielle, while Nick married Priyanka Chopra last year.
Joe rose to fame when he and his brothers formed their band, The Jonas Brothers, and released their debut single, Mandy, in December 2005.
The guys grew up Christian, as their father Paul was music teacher at Christ for the Nations, and an Assemblies of God pastor, according to People. Prior to the release of their debut single, the guys toured with CCM teen group, Jump 5.
Joe, Nick and Kevin made celibacy promises earlier in their career, publicly make a pledge to remain abstinent until marriage, by wearing purity rings. The boys unfortunately received backlash by some of Hollywood, including actor Russell Brand, who was previously wed to Katy Perry.
Joe later admitted he lost his virginity to actress Ashley Greene in a Reddit AMA.
Friends, as believers, we’re called to honor the marriage bed, because as God made woman out of man, when they come together, two become one. (Ephesians 5:31)
We must remember why we pledge abstinence until marriage (to honor the Lord, our bodies, and our future spouse). At the same time, if we have slipped up, or have lived a lifestyle the opposite of what the Lord calls of us, we must not succumb to it and just call it a day. Many times, we’ll live in extreme guilt, when in fact, God will forgive us when we ask him, and turn from our sin.
Don’t dwell on your past, but instead, accept the fact that the Lord has forgiven it! You’re a new creation in Him, and you’re not alone in your stumbles. Many other believers have struggled, or are struggling like you.
We’re happy that Joe has made the marriage commitment now, and we pray that both seek to have a strong relationship with the Lord!
