As believers, we know that it’s by “grace you have been saved, through faith.” (Ephesians 2:8)
But with constant pushback from others, thousands of religions and beliefs – and questions we have ourselves- doubt inevitably creeps in.
Influence Music is addressing those thoughts head-on with their new single, “Honest.”
And honestly…the lyrics couldn’t be any more real.
“I hope you’re not afraid of my questioning
Am I wasting my breath or are you listening?
‘Cause if seeing is believing, how can I believe?”
The single was both sung and co-written by artist Melody Noel. Gabriel Wilson, Lauren Evans, and Rick Seibold also helped pen the lyrics, while Jordan Sarmiento & Michael Barkulis take production credits.
“‘Honest’ is one of the most vulnerable songs I’ve ever written,” began Melody, in a press release.
“Last summer I was wrestling with doubt more than I ever had in my life, but found freedom in being real with God. The more I would bring what I was feeling to the light, the more God was able to minister to me. I love that we serve a God who embraces our humanity and loves us through the process. “
The band’s 10 song record, Rebels, comes out on July 19. Pre-order it here!*
