Covid has infected and devastated the entire world. It has seperated families, caused loneliness and depression, and yes, death.
As many of you know, since 2018, I’ve visited Honduras at least once a year with the mission organization, World Gospel Outreach. Covid put a pause into those plans for 2020. 2021 came, and the Lord provided a way for me to return.
I was there for my usual three weeks, and this time, I was able to experience a different side of Honduras. In 2018, I enjoyed time as an “intern,” and 2019, came back as a videographer.
Fast forward to 2021, and I returned as the videographer, while expanding my work efforts with WGO. My filming focused on the changes the pandemic brought to the organization, as well as highlighting the stories of the missionaries that live there.
During my time, I was able to enjoy special moments with my Honduran friends, whom I met on the mission field. My birthday is on July 8, and in normal years, I would usually head to Tegucigalpa about 2 weeks after that.
But this year, I visited in May. So, I decided to celebrate my birthday early, with my friends who I hadn’t seen in almost two years. And, I’ve never spent time with them outside of work, so it was truly a special experience!
Of course, I’m going to be creating a whole vlog series from my time there. But for now, please enjoy this video of my birthday experience…with my friends who have the BIGGEST heart for Christ!
